THE MOVIE THAT NEVER GOT MADE...
During the years 1992-1995 I was engrossed with a project that (at that time) would be the pinnacle of my creative artifice. It was to be called "SPIRITS IN CYBERSPACE" a montage of free-form images based on my life's struggle with art and death. I worked feverishly on the soundtrack on which the images would be based for quite some time and it is still the most complex music I have created to date.
A Canadian company called "SIDE EFFECTS" was interested on helping me out with the project with there "time-distortion" software and morphing techniques.
It had everything from religious allegory to aliens to auto-govermental fascistic elements. With me as the lone protaganist being racked across the coals of hell and then in the end to reach true spirital enlightment in the corporal realm.
Hope's were high and the talent and musical soundtrack were there, but the money was not and I could not in my heart rip-off all the people involved in the project with dillusions of monetary satisfaction.
So, I canceled the project abrubtly, hopefully to be picked up again in the future when the time was right.
I did finish the title sequence however, using gregorian chants in reverse and multiple whisperings of prayers to create an awesome opening design.
Do you know? There really are spirits in cyberspace.
